Mammotion’s New mini Robot Lawn Mowers: Luba mini and Yuka mini

Mammotion is known for its innovative robot lawn mowers, which stand out for both their powerful features and user-friendliness. Last season, the Luba 2 was one of the most popular devices, selling out multiple times. With the new Luba mini AWD and Yuka mini models, the company is expanding its portfolio with two compact mowers specifically designed for smaller and medium-sized gardens. These models combine advanced technology with a compact design, making it easier and more affordable for homeowners to enter the world of robotic lawn mowers.

Mammotion Luba Mini AWD new robotic mower

The new mini models are aimed at users with gardens up to 0.37 acre (1,500 m²). Thanks to their size and weight of under 15 kg, the Luba mini AWD and Yuka mini offer a flexible and user-friendly solution for yards with difficult areas or steep slopes. A standout feature of these mowers is the advanced technology that enables them to handle various obstacles and complex landscaping effortlessly. Once again, Mammotion uses a solid combination of RTK (GPS) data and AI camera technology.

Luba mini AWD: The All-rounder for Complex Gardens

The Luba mini AWD is the larger of the two new mowers and is designed for gardens between 0.2 acre (800 m²) and 0.37 acre (1,500 m²). It’s based on the proven Luba 2 AWD, but in a more compact and lighter version. Weighing only 15 kg, the Luba mini is significantly lighter than the original model while still offering the same robust technology that defines the Luba series.

A particularly noteworthy aspect of the Luba mini AWD series is its ability to manage complex garden structures. The model can handle inclines of up to 38.6° (80%), making it ideal for slopes or uneven lawns. Even on challenging terrain, the Luba mini remains stable and precise in its operation.

Navigation is handled by RTK technology, supported by a specialized antenna. This system ensures the mower stays on course, even when the signal weakens. This is where the AI-powered cameras come into play, enabling precise navigation even without GPS for brief periods and allowing the mower to detect and avoid obstacles reliably. The combination of these technologies ensures that the mower can work safely, reliably, and efficiently, even in complex environments.

The Luba mini AWD also features a six-blade cutting system with a 20 cm cutting width. The cutting height is electronically adjustable, ranging from 2 to 6.5 cm. Battery life and range have been optimized, allowing the mower to cover larger areas with ease. The 0.2 acre (800 m²) version is priced around $1,499, while the model for 0.37 acre (1,500 m²) costs around $1,899.

Yuka mini : The Compact Entry-Level Solution

The Yuka mini is aimed at users with smaller gardens who don’t have complex terrain and therefore don’t need a four-wheel-drive mower. It’s suitable for garden areas between 0.15 acre (500 m²) and 0.2 acre (800 m²) and is notable for its light weight of about 10 kg. This makes the Yuka mini highly manoeuvrable and better suited for tight spaces.

A significant advantage of the Yuka mini series is the extremely easy installation. The mower can be set up and operational in under 10 minutes via an app. The app-based control allows for precise adjustment of mowing parameters, so even inexperienced users can operate the mower with ease. After some initial difficulties last season, Mammotion’s software turned out to be very reliable and satisfactory by mid-year, so we are confident in this promise for the upcoming models.

The Yuka mini also uses RTK navigation and an AI camera for obstacle detection, allowing it to perform well even in smaller, yet still challenging gardens. The cutting system consists of five blades with a cutting width of 19 cm. The cutting height can be manually adjusted between 2 and 6 cm. The Yuka mini is suitable for gardens with slopes of up to 24° (45%), which is the typical standard.

The Yuka mini is available in two variants, differing by battery capacity and the maximum area they can mow:

Additional Features and Technological Innovations

Both models, the Luba mini AWD and Yuka mini , are equipped with the latest technology to enhance convenience and efficiency. Through the Mammotion app, users can not only adjust mowing parameters but also define and control multiple mowing zones as before. The ability to manage up to 10 zones ensures the mower can be used flexibly in complex gardens.

The models are also equipped with a 4G module, enabling the use of a SIM card instead of relying on Wi-Fi. This means that the robotic mowers can be controlled even in large gardens with weak Wi-Fi signals. For users who already have smart home systems like Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa, the robotic mowers offer easy integration, allowing voice control.

Another interesting feature of Mammotion’s robotic mowers is the ability to create lawn patterns. Thanks to innovative pressure technology, specific areas of the lawn can be left uncut, allowing creative patterns or texts to be left behind on the grass. This feature is especially suitable for large gardens during special events and is supported by the mini models as well.

Enhanced Luba Models: Luba 2 AWD 3000X, 5000X and 10000X

Mammotion Luba 2 AWD 3000X

In addition to the two mini series, Mammotion unveiled three new and improved versions of the Luba 2. The Luba 2 3000X, Luba 2 5000X and Luba 2 10000X models were revealed for the first time following a countdown on the manufacturer’s official website. Among the enhancements, these models feature automatic mapping, allowing them to independently scan lawn areas and create a virtual map. They also boast improved object recognition capabilities.

The upgraded mowing decks now have six blades instead of four, powered by a robust 165-watt cutting motor. In areas with poor GPS reception, the AI camera reliably takes over navigation with a range of up to 300 meters. A stronger chip has been installed to support the enhanced AI functionality. Mammotion claims that the new models, equipped with a 12Ah battery, can mow up to 1,200 m² per charge (190 minutes). Whether this holds true in real-world conditions remains to be seen.

Mammotion Robotic Pool Cleaner: Is the Product Line Expanding?

A Mammotion pool cleaning robot was showcased at CES 2025 in Las Vegas.

In addition to the two new mini models and the updated Yuka and Luba 2 versions, a cordless robotic pool cleaner also made an appearance at the CES 2025 event in Las Vegas. However, the device has not yet been listed on the manufacturer’s website, and the official press release does not provide any additional details about a Mammotion robotic pool cleaner. We have reached out to mammotion for more information and will update with further details soon.

Conclusion: Compact Technology for Every Garden

The Mammotion Robotic Lawn Mower Lineup 2025The Luba mini AWD and Yuka mini from Mammotion offer an efficient and user-friendly solution for homeowners looking for a compact robotic lawn mower for smaller to medium-sized gardens. With advanced technology like RTK navigation, AI cameras, and easy setup via an app, both models provide excellent performance and ease of use. Whether it’s for complex gardens with steep slopes or smaller, flat areas, these mowers make lawn care effortless and precise.

In terms of price, the models make a strong statement and are positioned in a market where demand and competition are at their highest. We’re excited to see the first real-world experiences and whether Mammotion has found the right approach with these mini models – it certainly looks that way, and it seems like a logical step the market has been asking for. The new models can now be pre-ordered and the first items are expected to be delivered by the beginning of March.
